An Eyes Perception Of Happiness
By Adam Jay
How I fell, and how i will continue to fall

Poem 1
A commanding voice echoes with a sweet disposition.
As the facade comes into play, eyes meet
Across the space, and there is a falter. Snap.
Snap! Back to pretending, back to screaming
Dramatic lies. His thoughts turned
To a previous interaction. A memory,
Treasured and loved. What a way
To end the day. “And come unto me,
Romeo.” Reality check, a corner smile.
A connection isn’t made. A flicker of char-
Acters; then, a connection. Happiness shared
Between future lovers.
A commanding figure is but a distant blur
To the mouthed expressions, the only
Signet of love able to be shown. Desire
Hidden behind badly drawn curtains. A daydream,
And a missed critical point. A few visions
Later, and the figures disperse. A solitary
Couple, stood hand in hand. Beaming statues
In a rushed light echo gleam. Opals meet cobalt,
In this predicted day dream.
The enjambement works really well, for me, and the poem itself is well written. I especially like the last verse. Your use of language is both pleasant for the reader and relatively easy to follow. A success, as always. Xx

This is one of my first poems to use enjambment. I wondered how it would go. Feedback ?!
